Stop pipeline of illegal fireworks to Maui

2 min read

Any educated person would easily figure out that the staggering amount of illegal fireworks are brought to Maui and other islands by large shipping containers.

It is not coming in checked bags on airlines or through the post office, so the shipping companies must be involved.

If a normal person can see this, why isn't the police and the FBI investigating this and stopping this pipeline of unnecessary, illegal fireworks?

Whoever is the head of this conglomeration has enough power and influence to facilitate this and also to keep law enforcement away. If multiple containers of fireworks can be so easily shipped and distributed, then how do we know that millions of fentanyl pills aren't also arriving this way?

Weapons? People? Why does nobody care or look into this?

Fireworks aren't part of native Hawaiian culture and all excuses argued to preserve its illegal use is simple BS. The deaths and horrible injuries, as well as the many fires when these illegal fireworks are used, don't seem to matter to anybody.

Fining individuals is just the first step. Go after those who sell it, ship it and facilitate all of it.

Maybe our new police chief, mayor and governor should use this platform to show that corruption and individual safety are true concerns of theirs.

It should be an easy case to solve. Minimal shipping companies, with small numbers of employees and limited ports, should make this an easy case if someone chose to pursue this problem.
