Further damaging main source of our revenue?

2 min read

Our governor is now threatening to further damage the main source of revenue for Maui, tourism, by banning short-term rentals.

While the Democrats try to tell us that democracy is threatened by any consideration of voting for their opposing party, they aren't afraid to use fascism to solve problems that they have created.

Maui has been short of affordable housing for decades. Some of us think that the fire was avoidable too, if we'd had competent leadership.

But even if you buy the premise that the fire was an unavoidable natural disaster, solving the problem should not fall on a small segment of our population.

Using the government to steal from those who have scrimped and saved to give to those who don't have. How hard is our elected government working to get its party in the national government to divert even a small amount of the tens of billions being sent to Ukraine to bolster that economy?

Is our POTUS just paying hush money to Ukraine so they don't expose the corruption they've shared with his family?

Remember when the pandemic hit us? This same Hawaii government was quick to shut down the travel and hospitality industry, and small consumer businesses.

But they kept paying all their government employees. And that was while those same employees "worked" from home. Remember how hard it was to get their attention back then? A billion dollars from the Feds can be used to solve this problem.
