So, we are about to start the third calendar year that the two major road washouts in Kula continue to be a serious problem.
One is on Kekaulike between Waiakoa Road and Alae Road. This is a state highway, but the blinking lights on the cement barriers don't even work.
The other one is a county road, by Rice Park. Also, lights not working.
I have written letters, made numerous phone calls, but nothing has been done. These both present dangers to motorists and taxpayers as an accident would probably bring a lawsuit against the government that us taxpayers would have to pay.
Once again, us Upcountry residents continue to be put on the back burner. Auwe.
