Maui Pops Orchestra out did itself with its salute to "Disney Pops" January 21.
Under the direction of celebrated virtuoso, Michael Kosarin, our Maui Pops performed flawless renditions of recent Disney animation productions written by legendary composer Alan Menken.
Before a sold-out crowd, the orchestra produced a professional and polished performance that accompanied two extremely talented vocalists, Susan Egan and Adam Jacobs.
The angelic voice of Egan was remarkable for both its range and impressive clarity. Likewise for Jacobs, who certainly understands and delivered, a classic vibrato effect to an enthralled audience.
Both of these singers possessed an eye-catching stage presence while managing to be personal and intimate.
We certainly enjoy superb musical endeavors on our Island and with the ongoing efforts of Maui Arts and Cultural Center and Maui Pops Orchestra, we will have this privilege for many years to come.
