Something has gone drastically wrong with our legal system.
It has been taken over by crooks with money and influence and lawyers without ethics or morals.
The technicalities and loop holes in the laws, some deliberately put in there by our politicians - most of whom are lawyers themselves - have rendered our justice system ineffectual and useless for most.
Proving an obvious and blatant crime in courts of law has become such a long, drawn-out affair that very few cases reach a final verdict and are settled out of court behind closed doors with great injustice to our sense of justice.
For example, any ten-year-old, if he/she listens to the hour-plus phone call by then President Donald Trump to the Georgia secretary of state, will conclude that Trump was positively badgering the secretary to change the election outcome by finding him the additional votes. Yet this ubiquitous crime needs millions of dollars and hundreds of thousands of manhours by high-priced lawyers to be proven in our courts of law?
Similarly, any human being, who on Jan. 6, 2021 watched the eight hours of violent insurrection taking place at our nation's capitol on live television, cannot deny that it was a grave criminal act against our nation and its citizens. Yet it has been litigated in our courts for years now and the real culprit is roaming free with no legal outcome in sight.
No wonder people are losing faith in our judiciary.
