Proper free will comes with attainment of wisdom

2 min read

Free will is a much-heralded gift to mankind. But a little thought will reveal its dark side.

It's obvious its potential can create chaos and madness. This side is the result of uninformed, distorted or evil choices, but also a result of conflict between karma and free will; and the Primal Energy called God by ancestral cultures.

Upon observation of the situation in America, one could rightly conclude that maybe free will should have been individually earned and not given to all alike.

That is, since the proper use of free will can only come slowly along the evolutionary path with the attainment of wisdom, the implication is that the path will be strewn with errors, conscious striving and much self-reflection.

We gain in certainty of action, choice or decision only with the broadening and refinement of consciousness. Therefore, since the American people are struggling with physical survival; irregular emotional ignorance; and a vagrancy of mind, madness or antisocial use of free will should be expected and acknowledged.

As we know, many of our leaders are corrupt, incompetent, selfish, hypocritical and treacherous. Also, many religions are stagnant and science has been taken over by technocrats.

Where are we going to find ethical examples for modern living, moral precepts or models of wise, heroic, selfless behavior?

Although free will may enhance the life of a nation, the light-minded misuse of it may jeopardize people's cohesiveness and obscure national intention.
