Maui has a major choice this election. Will we support candidates backed by big money and dark money like For a Better Tomorrow?

Or will we support Ohana candidates? They are highly qualified and free to prioritize local needs including truly affordable housing.

With luxury development responsibility ends at sale. Affordable housing, water, inflation and infrastructure problems are born by us. We pay.

Promises were for rezoning and can be broken (Wailea 670: A History of Broken Promises, Maui Tomorrow).

The developers, investors and some realtors collect a fortune and seek more.

Meanwhile we lack affordable housing. Our workers are exploited.

We face water restrictions as the Central Maui Water System is over 99% capacity (Stufflebean letter 10/2/2024). We sit in traffic and struggle with parking. We wonder how to rebuild Lahaina with the competition.
