Letter: Trump’s illegal actions define his presidency

No one has ever been as dangerous to this country as Donald Trump.

He is merrily ignoring the law and has actively been dismantling the Constitution since day one. Few Republicans have dared to challenge him.

Trump’s tariff plan is illegal. Only Congress has the power to impose tariffs.

Deportations without due process are illegal.

Trump’s taking millions from the Saudis for his golf tournament this past weekend is illegal under the emoluments clause of the Constitution, but he gleefully accepted their cash anyway.

Trump’s hustling Tesla cars in front of the White House is an illegal violation of the Hatch Act.

Trump hatchet man Elon Musk’s wholesale firing of government employees and shutting down agencies created and funded by Congress is illegal.

Neither Trump nor Musk has the authority to make funding decisions that impact federal agencies or decisions about federal personnel; however, they have done just that.

Elon Musk spent $277 million to back Trump and Republican candidates. Sadly, that is not illegal.
