As a West Maui resident, I find ridiculous this whole water dispute involving Maui Land and Pineapple, the state, the county and Kapalua Golf.

So MLP allegedly hasn’t fixed the pipes since 2018 and blames the state? And now Earthjustice is saying the golf course has been using water that MLP has been giving them? I thought they were getting sued for not fixing the water system? It’s a mess out here.

Meanwhile we’re in a drought and the county tells us to conserve. That’s not a solution.

First off, MLP needs to fix that ditch. Then, Kapalua needs to stop watering with drinking water and use reclaimed waste- water from the county.

Stop fighting and work together. We’ve got two billionaires, a mayor and the governor all involved. Force them all into a room together and figure this out without the lawyers. We will all be better off.
