Letter: We can do better fixing South Kihei Road damage

Well, it’s been four plus months and South Kihei Road's sinkhole is still not completely repaired and the road opened to through traffic.

Here is something to think about. The Alaska Highway was built across more than 1,500 miles of wilderness in eight months. And, by the way, that was back in 1942.

Bill Bradley is a former professional basketball player. In the NBA for 10 seasons with the New York Knicks, he also served as a United States Senator from New Jersey from 1979 to 1997.

He once wrote a book entitled "We can all do better."

I believe some of his visions would apply to this situation present here in Kihei today.
