I would like to express my appreciation to Maui County Councilmember Tom Cook for initiating and securing a much needed grant for the Veteran of Foreign Wars, Post 3850 in Kihei.
The grant will help fund much needed programs and services for our veterans in need.
Mahalo also to Budget Chair Yuki Lei Sugimura, members of the Maui County Council and Mayor Richard Bissen’s staff for their support and assistance.
VFW Post 3850 continues to provide a site for helping our veterans and a venue for community and family events in Kihei.
All of this would not be possible without County of Maui support.
On behalf of many Maui County Veterans, thank you to all who support our veterans and those serving on active duty around the world protecting the freedoms we have today.
