Kamehameha permits one hit in victory over King Kekaulike
Chase Newton and Kaimi Gilliland combined on a one-hitter Friday as the Kamehameha Schools Maui baseball team defeated King Ke-kaulike 9-3 at Maehara Stadium in Wailuku.
The Warriors (3-2) scored all their runs in the sixth inning. Tyler Harry finished 3-for-4, while Cal Alexander and Travis Kanamu Jr. each had two hits. Alexander also drove in a run.
Na Alii fell to 2-3.
* BALDWIN 4, LAHAINALUNA 0: At Wai-luku, Joshua Nobriga struck out nine batters in a two-hit shutout for Baldwin (2-0).
The Bears’ Patrick Burrows went 4-for-4 and drove in a run. Isaiah Maddela had two hits.
Akoni Hamilton-Golis pitched a complete game for Lahainaluna (1-4).
* MOLOKAI 5, ST. ANTHONY 2: At Kaunakakai, Nohi Meyer struck out 10 batters and allowed one hit as Molokai (3-0) took sole possession of first place in the MIL Division II standings.
St. Anthony fell to 0-3.
