1 min read

Na Koa Ikaika Maui beat the San Rafael Pacifics 4-1 in a Pacific Association game Wednesday at San Rafael, Calif., that will be mostly remembered for the accomplishment of the Pacifics’ Bill “Spaceman” Lee.

Lee, a 66-year-old former big leaguer, played all nine positions in the game.

He started at catcher, then played the outfield spots over the next three innings.

Lee allowed one hit in a scoreless fifth inning, then played the remaining four infield positions.

Maui’s Josh Larson pitched seven shutout innings and Justin James scored three runs and drove in two.

Larson (6-0) allowed three hits with two walks and eight strikeouts. Mike Williams worked the eighth and Chris Mobley allowed a run in the ninth. He struck out Maikel Jova with the bases loaded for the final out.

Logan Odom (9-2) started for San Rafael and allowed three runs – one earned – in four innings.
