UH sweeps UC San Diego

Stijn van Tilburg had 13 kills, and Rado Parapunov had 11 kills and five blocks to lead the top-ranked University of Hawaii men's volleyball team to a 25-15, 25-22, 25-17 victory over UC San Diego on Friday in La Jolla, Calif.

Joe Worsley had 29 assists and Patrick Gasman had eight blocks and four kills for the Rainbow Warriors, who improved to 22-0 (5-0 Big West Conference) and extended their NCAA record with their 66th straight set won to start the season.

Colton Cowell, a graduate of King Kekaulike High School, had three kills, four digs, two blocks and an assist for UH, which outblocked the Tritons (7-14, 0-5 Big West) 12-1 and outhit them .468-.146.
