Lenny a double winner at WSL Big Wave Awards

Kai Lenny of Spreckelsville won two awards at the World Surf League's Big Wave Awards, announced Thursday during a ceremony in Redondo Beach, Calif.

Lenny won the Men's XXL Biggest Wave Award as well as the Men's Overall Performance Award.

South African Grant Baker won the Men's Paddle Award and the Ride of the Year Award, and Oahu's Makua Rothman won the Wipeout of the Year Award.

Brazil's Andrea Moller, a Maui resident, won the Women's Paddle Award World Record for her ride at Peahi on Jan. 16, 2016.

France's Justine Dupont won the other two women's awards, the Hydro Flask Performance Award and the XXL Biggest Wave Award.
