Maui's Imaikalani Devault competes during the second round of the EDP Billabong Pro Ericeira in Portugal on Wednesday. Despite having the highest-scoring wave of the day -- a near-perfect 9.40 -- Devault was eliminated from the World Surf League Qualifying Series 10,000 event after placing third in his heat with a total of 13.40. Also bowing out Wednesday were fellow Valley Isle surfers Ian Gentil and Tanner Hendrickson, who place third and fourth, respectively, in their second-round heats.
