Rainbow Warriors sweep past Nittaidai

The University of Hawaii men’s volleyball team swept past Nittaidai of Japan on Friday night at the Stan Sheriff Center.

The Rainbow Warriors dominated the match 25-23, 25-23, 25-14 in front of 4,868 fans. Rado Parapuniov led Uh with 13 kills, while Cole Hogland added six kills and King Kekaulike High School graduate Colton Cowell had five.

Hawaii outhit Nittaidai .291 to .147.

Nittaidai was led by Shota Fujiwara with 11 kills.

Hawaii returns to action Thursday and Friday, hosting BYU at the SSC.
