The University of Hawaii men’s basketball team moved over .500 in Big West Conference play with a 67-65 win over UC Davis on Thursday night in Davis, Calif.
Avea Samuta led four Rainbow Warriors in double-figure scoring with 18 points, while Zigmars Raimo added 14 and Eddie Stansberry had 10. Justin Hemsley had 11 points off the bench for UH, which improved to 17-12 overall and 8-7 in BWC play.
Samuta made a 3-pointer with 3 seconds left to give UH a 66-65 lead and Hemsley added one free throw with 1 second to go to account for the final score.
Ezra Manjon led the Aggies (14-17, 8-7) with 18 points.
Hawaii finishes its regular season with a game at Cal State Northridge on Saturday.
