The University of Hawaii women's basketball team's game against Long Beach State, scheduled for Thursday, has been canceled due to COVID-19 issues within the Rainbow Wahine program.
UH announced the cancellation Tuesday. The game has been declared a no-contest. The status of Saturday's game against Cal State Fullerton at SimpliFi Arena at Stan Sheriff Center has yet to be determined.
The Rainbow Wahine joined the UH men's team in having to cancel games as they deal with virus issues. The Hawaii women's team had already had its first two games of the Big West season canceled last weekend, though those were due to COVID issues within those programs.
The Rainbow Warriors program has been on pause since Dec. 27 as it continues to recover from a virus outbreak.
