The Maui High School boys basketball team capped the Maui Interscholastic League Division I regular-season slate with a 70-59 victory over King Kekaulike on Saturday night in Pukalani.
Justin Tolentino and Julius Bueno each scored 12 points to lead a balanced Sabers attack. Jermaine Baguyo and DJ Sabas both added 11 points, and Trajan Cantere contributed 10 points as Maui High (2-6) clinched the No. 4 seed for the upcoming MIL D-I tournament.
Na Alii (0-8) were led by Kyle Castillo with 17 points. Kyle Davies scored 13 points, Jordan Babcock 12 and Colton Baldwin 11.
After a schedule change over the weekend, the MIL tournament will begin Thursday, with the Sabers hosting No. 5 Na Alii at 7 p.m. The winners advance to the semifinals, where they will face top-seeded Baldwin on Feb. 14 at King Kekaulike.
