The Big West Conference announced Friday that Maui High School graduate Alyssa Mae Antolin was named Co-Track Athlete of the Year.
Antolin, a University of Hawaii sophomore, had a stellar season that concluded last weekend at the BWC championships with a first-place conference finish in the 200 meters (23.79 seconds), a first place in the 1,600 relay (3:45.24), a second-place showing in the 100 (11.81), and a second-place showing in the 400 relay (49.68).
She ran two of the three fastest times in school history for the 200 this season and sits in the top five all-time in the 100 at UH.
Her role in the 4×400 helped propel the team to times not seen since 1984.
Antolin also earned a spot on the All-Conference team and won a Conference Athlete of the Week Award earlier in the season.
Antolin, who broke the school record indoors in the 200 in February, shared the BWC Women's Track Athlete of the Year award with Ryley Fick of Long Beach State.
