• Future Plans: I'm still figuring that out but know that I want to continue to learn, see as much of the world as I can, and channel doing what I love into bringing joy to and helping others. I would love to continue playing volleyball for fun with friends and maybe as a part of a club wherever I find myself in the future.
• Sports Lessons: I enjoy being a part of a team, putting in the time and effort and seeing the results, having something to constantly motivate me to strive to be better, and being able to have fun and do what I love.
Being an athlete has taught me teamwork, leadership, determination, perseverance, and how to navigate the highs and lows. My physical strength has been tested, but even more so my mental stamina and ability to take all that pressure and turn it into diamonds (my coach taught me that).
* Sports Spotlight students are selected by school administrators and athletic officials from Maui County high schools and these profiles are compiled by the advertising department of The Maui News. Alexander & Baldwin makes a $200 donation in honor of each student athlete to their high school's athletic fund. Each school year, 84 students are recognized.
