Molokai improves to 5-0 with 57-7 victory over Seabury

The Molokai High School eight-player football team ran its record to 5-0 in the Maui Interscholastic League with a 57-7 win over Seabury Hall in Hoolehua on Saturday.
Kobra Cariaga-Abafo threw three touchdown passes to lead the Farmers, who have already clinched their sixth straight MIL title.
Dion Augustiro started the scoring with a 27-yard run for the Farmers in the first quarter and added an 86-yard kickoff return for a touchdown to increase the Farmers’ lead to 36-7 in the third quarter.
Kahakoi Lopez caught two scoring passes, Kinohi Kaupu caught one, Kilakila Orlando had a scoring run, Ekolu Horner had a fumble return for a touchdown and Talen Tamanaha finished the Farmers scoring with a 97-yard interception return.
Seabury’s touchdown came on a 4-yard run by Liam Mabbutt in the second quarter. The Spartans finish the season 1-5.
At Hana Ball Park on Saturday, Hana (2-3) rallied from a 28-14 deficit at halftime to beat Lanai 32-28.
The Dragons got touchdown runs from Malachi Davis in the third quarter and from Lanakila Lecker-Tolentino in the fourth before Jacob Pu caught a scoring pass from Kui Park-Jeremiah for the decisive touchdown.
Lanai (3-3) got two touchdown runs from Ryan Noble and one from Reece Etrata.
