Avery Kirkham and Lauren Brown each had 10 kills and two aces to lead the Maui Preparatory Academy girls volleyball team to a marathon victory over previously undefeated Lanai, 25-22, 17-25, 25-9, 30-32, 17-15 on Friday night at the Bozich Center in Napili.
Tessa Chin added five kills, two digs and an ace, and Mayson Miles had two aces and two blocks for Na Pueo, who upped their record in Maui Interscholastic League Division II play to 5-4. The Pine Lasses fell to 6-1.
Also on Friday night, Caelyn Hasegawa served up 12 aces and dished out 15 assists to help lead undefeated Seabury Hall past St. Anthony 25-9, 25-8, 25-6 at the Erdman Athletic Center in Olinda.
Kekua Richards had a team-high seven kills as the Spartans improved to 8-0. Makalani Carey added six kills and Bella Palmer had 10 assists.
The Trojans fell to 1-9.
