Rainbow Wahine beat UC Davis in 5 for Ah Mow’s 100th victory

The University of Hawaii women's volleyball team outlasted UC Davis in five sets Saturday in Davis, Calif., giving head coach Robyn Ah Mow her 100th career win.

Amber Igiede had a career-high 24 kills, hitting .432, to lead the Rainbow Wahine to the 16-25, 25-12, 28-26, 19-25, 15-9 victory. In the fifth set, she pounded her 800th career kill. Igiede also had seven blocks and three digs.

Ah Mow, in her fifth season at the helm of the UH program, improved to 100-35, including 71-9 in conference play.

Caylen Alexander added 18 kills, Kate Lang had 50 assists as she guided UH to a .304 hitting percentage, and Tayli Ikenaga had a team-high 14 digs for UH (14-6, 11-1 Big West Conference).

Demari Webb had 21 kills to lead the Aggies (9-13, 4-8).

The Rainbow Wahine next host Long Beach State on Friday and Cal State Fullerton on Saturday.
