• Sports Lessons: My favorite thing about being an athlete is the people you meet along the way. I've been doing sports since I was 4 years old, and because of this I've been able to meet a lot of coaches, teammates, and opponents that have helped shape my work ethics and love for the sports I play. In fact, I'm still close friends with some of the people I played AYSO with over 10 years
ago. Both cross country and track are typically individual sports, but training and running with all of my friends and coaches have made my experiences 100 times more enjoyable. Of course there are days when I would rather do anything but run for an excruciatingly long hour, but the excuse to run with the people I love is always worth it.

Alexander & Baldwin makes a $200 donation in honor of each student athlete to their high school's athletic fund. Each school year, 84 students are recognized.
