• Kamehameha Schools Maui Grade: 12 / GPA: 3.943

AP: Calculus, Physics

• Sports: Bowling, Golf

• Future Plans: I have a lot of interests, and I want to go to a school that will allow me to pursue a major I enjoy while playing on a golf team.

• Sports Lessons: I like the competitive nature of being an athlete and meeting new people.

The biggest thing being an athlete has taught me is to "be like Eli." Eli is my little brother and whenever he plays golf, it seems like he is having the time of his life. Sometimes, I put a little too much pressure on myself to play well and it ends up affecting my performance. I hope to one day be a little more like my little brother so I can enjoy playing sports while put- ting a little less pressure on myself. At the core of competition, you have to enjoy your sport and play with passion and zest.

* Sports Spotlight students are selected by school administrators and athletic officials from Maui County high schools and these profiles are compiled by the advertising department of The Maui News. Alexander & Baldwin makes a $200 donation in honor of each student athlete to their high school's athletic fund. Each school year, 84 students are recognized.
