• Future Plans: I want to study in the medical group to be an ultrasound tech. I probably will not
continue in sports just because I will need to focus on school.
• Sports Lessons: The most enjoyable thing about being an athlete is making friends and being close with other people. They give me courage and make me work even harder during practice.
Being a wrestler taught me perseverance, determination, and teamwork. During my freshmen year I was nervous of joining the team and even competing at tournaments. After going days, months, and years I gained confidence to compete, and even help other people to not be so nervous joining this sport.
* Sports Spotlight students are selected by school administrators and athletic officials from Maui County high schools and these profiles are compiled by the advertising department of The Maui News. Alexander & Baldwin makes a $200 donation in honor of each student athlete to their high school's athletic fund. Each school year, 84 students are recognized.
