• Future Plans: I wish to go to either the University of Portland or Cal Poly Pomona and study Computer Science. I do not plan on playing baseball at the collegiate level, but rather focus on my education.
• Sports Lessons: The thing I enjoy most about being an ath- lete, are the friendships I make. Throughout my athletic career, I have met many people and made numerous friends playing with and against them.
Being an athlete taught me leadership and perseverance. An important skill to have in baseball is leadership. The ability to guide my teammates to get a winning outcome is something I use in my own life. Many times in school I need to work in groups and with my leadership skills, I am able to get the work done. Another quality that being an athlete taught me is perseverance. In base- ball, failure is almost guaranteed. So through constant failure, I learned from my previous mistakes to succeed in anything in life.
