• Maui High School

• Grade: 12 / GPA: 3.832

AP: Calculus, ENG 100

• Sports: Basketball, Swimming

• Future Plans: I plan to continue my education in Washington studying Diagnostic Sonography.

• Sports Lessons: The best part about being an athlete is the friendships I have made through each team/club. Being able to work towards a common goal and go through similar ups and downs together has created a bond I wouldn't be able to find anywhere else. Iron sharps iron and we push each other to get better at every practice.

Being an athlete challenges me to become the best version of myself everyday. Balancing school work, and sports has taught me to manage and maximize my time. On top of that, sports has taught me to set goals, and not to settle for just achieving them, but surpassing them. On the flip side of that come failures and losses, but sports taught me how to handle that adversity: come back hungrier and more prepared.

* Sports Spotlight students are selected by school administrators and athletic officials from Maui County high schools and these profiles are compiled by the advertising department of The Maui News. Alexander & Baldwin makes a $200 donation in honor of each student athlete to their high school's athletic programs.
