A Close-up Look at Maui County's High School Athletics
Lahainaluna High School
Grade: 12 / GPA: 4.0
Sport: Basketball
Future Plans: I plan to continue my education. I’m unsure/undecided about where I want to study, but I’d like to study animal science or business management. I’d like to play college basketball if possible.
Sports Lessons: Being an athlete, I enjoy building relationships & bonds the most. I love growing with one another & playing as a team. Coming together & making memories was the most fun!
Being an athlete taught me how to persevere through tough times. No matter how difficult something was, you’d always have to get through it. Being an athlete made me stronger physically & mentally. It gave me the mindset to always want to win, to be great, and successful. I am so grateful for the game & everything it taught me.
* Sports Spotlight students are selected by school administrators and athletic officials from Maui County high schools and these profiles are compiled by the advertising department of The Maui News. Alexander & Baldwin makes a $200 donation in honor of each student athlete to their high school’s athletic programs.
