Both Maui Interscholastic League regular-season softball titles have been decided.
Lanai High School wrapped up the MIL Division II regular-season crown with an 8-5 win over Hana on Friday afternoon in Lanai City.
Keala Montgomery struck out 12 while allowing five runs, three earned, and seven hits with no walks for the Pine Lasses (5-2), who last week won an MIL international tiebreaker against second-place Molokai. Montgomery also went 2 for 2 at the plate with two walks and an RBI.
Arianna Helekahi and Asa-Praise Kalalau both had two hits, and Namahana Smith smacked a double for the Dragons (1-6).
On Thursday night at Patsy Mink Field in Kahului, the Bears clinched the MIL Division I regular-season crown, and the state berth that goes with it, with a 10-3 victory over King Kekaulike.
Tacia Kahalewai was 2 for 3 with two RBIs and three runs scored, and Bailey Nagasako and Lennel Olaivar-Sugse both also had two hits and an RBI for Baldwin (10-1).
Aki Tamayose had two hits for Na Alii (3-8).
