Nov. 30--The final LPGA/USGA Girls Golf event at The Dunes at Maui Lani is scheduled for Nov. 30. Girls Golf is the only junior golf program for girls ages 6-17 that specializes in providing girl-friendly environments to learn the game of golf, according to the event website. The event is set for 4 to 5:30 p.m. The cost is $10 per junior. Registration can be completed on the LPGA/USGA Girls Golf app. For more information, visit girlsgolf.org.
Jan. 4--Volunteer registration is currently open for the 2024 Sentry Tournament of Champions at the Kapalua Plantation Course. The tournament--set for the first week of January, with the first round starting on Jan. 4--will serve as the season opener for the 2024 PGA Tour season. There are various committees that prospective volunteers can join including ShotLink (includes both walking scorer and laser operator), On-Course Transportation, Gallery Management, Admissions & Information, and Supply & Product Distribution.
