Three Hawaii surfers remain at Sunset Beach

Bettylou Sakura Johnson of Oahu competes in the round of 16 of the Hurley Pro Sunset Beach, the second stop on the World Surf League Championship Tour, on Tuesday on Oahu's North Shore. Sakura Johnson is the lone Hawaii representative remaining in the women's draw, having advanced to the quarterfinals with a 11.40-10.73 win over Australia's Sally Fitzgibbons. In the men's draw, which was off Tuesday, Oahu's John John Florence and Seth Moniz are into the quarterfinals. The next call for Finals Day is today at 7:45 a.m.
