Warriors remain unbeaten with win over Sabers

Pa’u Spencer had 12 kills, 12 assists and 13 digs to help the Kamehameha Schools Maui boys volleyball team defeat Maui High 25-20, 24-26, 25-23, 25-23 on Tuesday night at Shine Matsui Athletic Center in Kahului.

Dylan Schnitzer added 12 kills and 11 digs, Pi’ikoa Kamoku dished out 22 assists to go with 10 kills and 10 digs, and Kanekoa Maielua-Kekiwi also had 10 kills for the Warriors, who moved to 3-0 in Maui Interscholastic League Division I play.

Luke Pragnell had 17 kills, two blocks, a dig and an assist for the Sabers (1-2). Zachary Pragnell had nine kills, three aces and a block, and Andrew Guzman had 18 assists and a kill.

At King Kekaulike, Dylan Kuia had 16 kills to lead Baldwin to a 25-15, 25-22, 14-25, 25-21 victory over Na Alii.

Kainoa Tanoue had 11 kills and three blocks, Kahoku Duarte added nine kills and four blocks, Ehren Acosta had 50 assists and Arjay Velasco had 18 digs and three aces for the Bears (3-1).

Tai Wittenberg had 14 kills along with an assist, a block and an ace for King Kekaulike (1-2). Austin Kepani posted 21 digs and two aces, Wyatt Perry had seven kills and two blocks, Alex Flavin added seven kills and Helson Hertin had 27 assists and two aces.
