MTS-Nakamura Wrestling won the Maui Style Tournament #3 at the South Maui Gymnasium in Kihei on Saturday. MTS-Nakamura scored 541 points for their second straight tourney win. The 808 Wrestling Club was second with 331, while Napili Surfriders (263) and Hana Takedown Club (193.5) were third and fourth, respectively. The next Maui Style tournament will be the Hawaii USA Wrestling State Tournament at the Lahaina Civic Center on May 4. Telia Grove, first photo, is able to defend Azarya Joao’s single left attack in a 12U girls 83-pound match. Grove, of 808 Wrestling, defeated Joao, of Ainapaa Wrestling, 4-1. Haweo Gonzales, second photo, of Lahaina Roughnecks, takes down Levi Short, of MTS-Nakamura, in winning the 14U boys 126-pound weight class.
