The Baldwin High School Cheerleading team scored high in tumbling and jumps, coming in third against top performing Iolani and Moanalua high schools Wednesday in the Zippy’s 2024 State Cheerleading Championships at the Neal Blaisdell Arena in Honolulu.

The Baldwin all-girls’ ranking was the highest overall among Neighbor Island schools.

Baldwin fell short in the “building skills” category and came in sixth in a field of 10 schools in the overall score.

Baldwin’s total score was 39.667 compared to top finisher Iolani with 44.917.

In the last decade, the Bears posted a four-year first place win streak in Maui competition including the state title in 2019 in the large division, defeating Mililani High School.
