Future Plans: After high school, I look forward to continuing my education on the mainland. Though the searching process isn’t over, I am very interested in attending a university in Oregon or California to study BioHealth Sciences and earn my professional degree to eventually come back to Hawai‘i to serve the children of the community that raised me.
Sports Lessons: What I enjoy most about being an athlete is the countless opportunities for growth, whether that’s through character, performance, or building strong connections with teammates and learning the value of dedication, resilience, and hard work. My coach once said, “the only person who can either bring you up or bring you down is the person in the mirror.” This has stuck with me and made me realize that the only person you have anything to prove to is yourself. No one else’s opinion carries more weight than your own so through perseverance and hard work, you will get the results that are well earned.
