Maui resident Micah Diaz has been named the “Most Outstanding Intermediate Male Boxer” at the 2026 USA Boxing Junior Olympics and Summer Festival.

Diaz, trained by Nante Managan out of Southside Boxing Club of Maui, claimed the top spot in the national competition in the intermediate boys 14-years-old 101-pound division.

The win makes him a three-time USA Boxing National Champion in various amateur weight divisions.

Faith Kahula Boteilho of the Central Maui Boxing Club also earned a national bronze medal for securing third place in the intermediate female 85-pound division.

The tournament took place from June 22-27 in Wichita, Kansas.
