Healthy Kids Running Series wraps up third event of season
Trending
The Healthy Kids Running Series has two more events in its fall season after the third race took place Sunday at Pomaikai Elementary School.
The Healthy Kids Running Series is a way to give children a fun introduction to the sport of running in an environment that builds confidence and self-esteem. The series will continue on Maui on Nov. 8 with the championship run Nov. 15.
The races are held on the back field at Pomaikai Elementary School, and they also feature a number of fun booths, community organizations and children's activities.
The Healthy Kids Running Series is part of a national, community-based nonprofit that provides an inclusive five-week running series for ages 2-14, designed for kids to get active, feel accomplished and lay the foundation for a healthy lifestyle.
Runners can sign up for the full series or individual events. For more information or to volunteer, visit healthykidsrunningseries.org/find-a-race/.
