Cross country runners compete in Lahaina with league championships on horizon

The Maui High boys narrowly edged out Seabury Hall in a 5,000-meter Maui Interscholastic League race Saturday in Lahaina. The two teams were separated by four places. Behind them, Baldwin took third with King Kekaulike fourth and Maui Prep fifth. In the girls race, Seabury Hall finished first, followed by Kamehameha Maui and Maui High. Runners will compete again Saturday at King Kekaulike High School in the final race before the MIL championship on Oct. 25 at Keopuolani Regional Park in Kahului. Seabury Hall volleyball remains unbeaten in MIL Division II

Seabury Hall picked up wins against Molokai on Friday and Saturday to remain undefeated in Maui Interscholastic League Division II matches. The Spartans’ record now stands at 11-0 in MIL games with Lanai in second place in the league with an 8-2 record. Against Molokai on Saturday, Milania Padilla was unstoppable with a game-high 26 kills and 12 digs, as Destiny Keomaka-Wood recorded 43 assists for Seabury Hall. Lahainaluna football mixes it up on offense, downs King Kekaulike

Lahainaluna defeated King Kekaulike 42-21 in a Maui Interscholastic League football game Saturday at King Kekaulike Field. The Lunas’ offense was potent in the contest and, after taking a seven-point lead into halftime, produced 14 more points in both the third and fourth quarters while holding King Kekaulike to half as many.
