The state Department of Health reported 233 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday, including 218 on Oahu, nine on Maui, five on Hawaii island and one on Kauai.
There have now been 4,543 cases, including 4,117 on Oahu, 206 in Maui County, 144 on Hawaii island and 53 in Kauai. Twenty-three residents have been diagnosed out of state.
Due to updated lab information, one case was removed from Maui and one from Oahu.
Of the total cases, 1,756 have been released from isolation, 277 have required hospitalization and 40 have died, including 33 on Oahu, six on Maui and one Kauai resident out of state.
