** “Search Engine Optimization 101 For Beginners” with Nicole Fisher will be from noon to 1:15 p.m. Wednesday. In this workshop, Fisher will discuss how a search engine works. She will go over keyword phrases within a website and go over keyword research using Google AdWords. In addition, she will discuss the anatomy of a search engine.
** “QuickBooks for Small Business” with Richard Kehoe will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Learn to set up your company’s QuickBooks in a small class setting with personalized tutoring. This class is for new users and will teach you how to record sales, receive payments, prepare invoices and balance your checkbook. Cost is $45.
* Maui Nui Botanical Gardens will host a “Ipu Decorating Workshop” led by Kumu Lisa Schattenburg-Raymond at 9 a.m. Saturday at 150 Kanaloa Ave. in Kahului. Participants will learn the traditional Niihau style of processing and decorating fresh gourds, create their own ornamental patterns based on traditional Hawaiian designs and learn about native ipu dyes and dye methods.
