CELEBRATE FIFTH FRIDAY IN LANAI CITY

Join the Friday Town Party in Lanai City from 5:30 to 8 p.m. The Office of Economic Development (OED), Expeditions Ferry and Lanai Chamber of Commerce teamed up to provide round-trip ferry and ground transportation between Maui and Lanai and an event passport, including a late-night ferry that departs Manele Harbor at 9:30 p.m. Visiting participating businesses and those stamping Lanai passports gain entry into a free prize drawing. FRIDAY NIGHT IS ART NIGHT IN LAHAINA

Stroll through dozens of art galleries in Lahaina town from 6 to 9 p.m. for special gallery shows, featured artists in action and refreshments all free and open to the public. Pick up a walking map of participants from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Lahaina Visitor Center located at the Old Lahaina Courthouse.

SAVOR THE SOUNDS OF ORGANIST JOEY FALA

Enjoy a free concert by organist Joey Fala at 6:30 p.m. in St. John’s Episcopal Church in Kula. The concert will include works from Bach, Williams, Daquin, Mendelssohn and others. St. John’s hosts an Oberlinger mechanical action-tracker pipe organ, that was recently serviced and tuned by visiting Hamburg, Germany master organ builder Hans Ulrich-Erbsloeh. This summer, Fala will present a recital as a featured artist at the Organ Historical Society’s national convention in Springfield, Mass.

‘KUKUNA KAIAO’ BENEFIT AT MAALAEA HARBOR

Enjoy an afternoon at “Kukuna Kaiao” a fundraiser for the Rotary Club of Kihei Sunrise and the UH Maui College Institute of Hawaiian Music. Beach Bums Restaurant will provide an all-you-can-eat barbecue buffet from 2 to 5 p.m. Entertainment includes students of the UH IHM hosted by George Kahumoku Jr. There will be an array of items for bid at the silent auction.
