MIX AND MINGLE AMONG ART. ArT=Mixx: AquaSonic will be from 7 to 11 p.m. at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center. The interactive mixer aims to connect art and the audience, and is inspired by the work of French artist and composer Celeste Boursier-Mougenot, whose sound installation is currently on display in the Schaefer International Gallery. The artist’s installation is presented in collaboration with the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego and uses inflatable pools of water with floating crockery to create a continuous yet random sound collage. It will be open for ArT=Mixx and can also be viewed in the gallery from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays to Sundays through July 18, as well as before Castle Theater shows and during intermissions.
