Celebrate the Fourth of July Upcountry-Style. * 60th annual Makawao Rodeo at Oskie Rice Arena. Thursday: Qualifying rounds will begin at 9 a.m. with free admission. Bull Bash will start at 7 tonight, admission is $5. Friday: Qualifying rounds start at 9 a.m. with free admission. Rodeo begins at 6 p.m. Saturday: Rodeo begins at 1 p.m. Admission for the rodeo is $10 for adults, $5 for seniors and students and children 10 years and younger are free. For more details, call 357-3524. n 50th annual Makawao Paniolo Parade: “Ho’o Hano I Na Koa,” honoring our warriors, is this year’s parade theme. Annual stick-horse race will begin at 8:45 a.m. Saturday and the colorful Hawaiian-style Wild West Parade will start at 9 a.m. There will be no parking in town. Parking is available at Oskie Rice Arena rodeo grounds with free shuttles to the parade from 7 to 9 a.m. and back to the rodeo grounds beginning at 11:30 a.m. Public restrooms will be available at Eddie Tam Center and portable toilets will be available at the parking lot of Komoda’s Store.
