A FAIR WITH A LOCAL FLAIR! The Maui Fair is “A Timeless Tradition” of fun, entertainment, food, rides, exhibits and a variety of products and services. Fair highlights:
Today 4:30 to 11 p.m. Maui Fair kicks off with a parade at 4:30 p.m. from Kaahumanu Avenue at the University of Hawaii Maui College entrance to Kanaloa Avenue and ends at Maehara Baseball StadIum. Opening ceremonies start at 6:30 p.m. Enjoy Napua Greig and Halau Na Lei Kaumaka O Uka at 7 p.m. and Malino at 9 p.m.
Friday 5 p.m. to midnight Catch Anuhea at 6:30 p.m. and Willie K at 8 p.m. under the Entertainment Tent. Later, it’s Old School Friday from 9:30 p.m. with DaJAM popping contest and Lip Sync contest.
Saturday 10 a.m. to midnight Join the Maui Fair Baby of the Year contest at 11 a.m. See the inaugural Maui Fair Pie Competition at 3 p.m. Darren Lee of Burn’n Love at 6 p.m., Nuff Sed at 8 p.m. and Jamie Gallo at 10 p.m.
Sunday 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Start the morning off with the KPOA Fried Rice Challenge at 11 a.m. and Ulalena at 1 p.m. Support the Chili Cookoff benefit at 3 p.m. Later, enjoy Mark Yamanaka at 6 p.m. and Micah G at 8 p.m.
