150 Year Jubilee Celebration of the Royal Order of Kamehameha I

The celebration continues today through Saturday. There will be vendors, crafts, food and Hawaiian music today and Friday at Hale Nanea Cultural Center in Kahului. Events at the cultural center are free.

* Today: Hui O Waa Kaulua (Star Navigation): Filming and a PowerPoint presentation on Hokule’a (a voyage of aloha).

* Friday: Hawaiian Music: Ki’ho’alu (slack key), hula.

* Saturday: Royal Ball: Heiau O Kahekili Helu IV presents the 150 Year Jubilee Royal Ball celebration from 5 to 10 p.m. at the Grand Wailea. There will be special guest speakers and entertainment by Willie K and Amy Hanaiali’i. Tickets are $125.
