INAUGURAL NCAA MAUI JIM MAUI CLASSIC

BasketballMAUI presents the inaugural NCAA Maui Jim Maui Classic hosted by Oregon State Friday and Saturday. The two-day tournament will feature two games per day, food trucks, live entertainment including "The Voice" Season 6 finalist Biff Gore and others. A portion of the proceeds will benefit local Parent Teacher Associations from participating Maui elementary schools, baseketballMAUI sports programs and other local nonprofit organizations.

COOKING WITH ULU AT MAUI NUI BOTANICAL

MEET WILLIAM FINNEGAN IN THE GREEN ROOM

The Merwin Conservancy presents an evening with William Finnegan at 7 p.m. in McCoy Studio Theater at the MACC. Finnegan is an award-winning journalist best known for his best-selling surf memoir, "Barbarian Days: A Surfing Life." LIGHTING OF THE BANYAN TREE IN LAHAINA

The LahainaTown Action Committee will host the 19th annual Lighting of the Banyan Tree in downtown Lahaina. 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday: Enjoy island-style holiday arts and crafts fair and entertainment from 9 a.m. Keiki activities will kick off at 2 p.m. with the arrival of Santa. A special member of the community will light the historic Banyan Tree with 6,500 colored lights at 6:30 p.m. Sunday: Fun continues from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

MAUI CHILDREN'S BOOK AUTHOR TO HOST EVENT

TREE LIGHTING CEREMONY AT GRAND WAILEA

Celebrate the holidays at Grand Wailea. Visit the gingerbread village, enjoy complimentary cookies and cocoa at 5 p.m. and watch the tree lighting ceremony at 5:30 p.m. See the 25-foot Christmas tree lit by Boys and Girls Clubs keiki, followed by a special performance by Amy Hanaiali'i. Guests may buy a $1 ornament at the gingerbread village to hang on the tree with the hotel matching the $1 donation to BGCM.

ENJOY HOLIDAY CLASSICS AT HOLIDAY POPS
