CELEBRATE THE WONDERFUL WORLD OF KITES DURING NATIONAL KITE MONTH.
Kite lovers, don't miss two days of family-friendly fun wrapped around the joys of kiting. On Friday, view kites from around the world, find kites to purchase, and see presentations on Chinese kites and East Indian kite-fighting from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Wo Hing Museum and Cookhouse (presentations are at 2 and 6 p.m.). Kids of all ages are invited to design their own kite using mixed media from 3 to 8 p.m. On Saturday, fly kites at the open space lawn adjacent to Lahaina Cannery Mall and watch demonstrations of acrobatic sport kite flying from 10 am to 2 p.m. Admision both days is free.
